WELCOME!
Hi Everyone! Please bear with me while I work on restoring my home pagethe current version was somehow deletedmeanwhile I've upload this old one....Will

For nearly three decades I've been on an quest for the answers to three questions central to the meaning of being queer.

Who are we? where did we come from? what are we for?

My answers to these questions are in the books and articles I have written, as well as the many slide-lectures I've given around the country. I hope to use this website as well to share what I've learned on this odyssey.

Here you'll find information about my publications, along with excerpts and samples of work-in-progress. There's background on the Native American two-spirit tradition, the primary subject of my research, and its parallels around the world, along with samplings of my work on queer mythology and queer culture and history. I will be updating this site on a regular basis, so visit me often!

12/21/05...Click on the NEW link below for selections of both NEW and OLD works. There's a beta-version illustrated lecture format on a famous Apache warrior woman and a work-in-progress exploring the connection between my pioneer ancestors and the famous "Paiute princess," Sarah Winnemucca. You'll also find a .pdf of my first research project into the unsolved murder of IWW organizer Frank Little in Butte, Montana in 1917...and coming soon: Vortex: A Journal of New Vision, a zine published 1980-1982 in SF, with an account of the White Night Riots of 1979, interviews with leading figures in the early faery and women's spirituality movements, and portfolios from SF's underground arts scene....

You can leave comments in my guest book or e-mail me. Feel free to link my site to yours and tell me about any sites I can link tobut please don't "mirror" or reproduce my pages on your site without permission.

You can order any of my books directly from this site by clicking on the Amazon link.
