Restaurant Review
                                By Brenda & Shirley

These reviews are our own and not prompted or influinced by anyone but US.  But they are not our fault.  It is just for fun and if you try one of the spots that we have review, you may have different results.  This page will grow over time.  Check back once in a while.

If you are a CD or Tgirl remember this one thing.  Dress for the occasion.  Don't wear your CLUB SKIRT to dinner.  Be nice and try to blend in.  BE A LADY!!!!!!!

Report No. 1

We want to start these reports on a good note.  We go out to dinner about every two weeks and see new and exciting places.  It has been very fun and we would like to share our experiences of what we have seen and how we have been treated with you.  We both love to go out to donner, Brenda espcially, so here is how we have rated the places we have gone to visit.

First is how much time we had to wait before being seated.  We both hate to wait and when we call the reataurant of choice we ask if we need reservations. When we show up we see how long we get to stand around.  The Second rating point is, where did they put us. Now, we don't want to be stuck in a corner away from the action and we love having some ambiance.  The Third rating point is service.  How was our server to us and if he/she was acceptable.   The Fourth rating point is the food.  This is of course our opinion and we might like food that others don't, but we tend to be right on about what we both like.  The other half of this point is portion size. We don't like to come to a place and go away hungery and have to go get a quick snack later that night.  The Fifth rating point is when the check hits the table.  Did Brenda and Shirley get sticker shock or are we happy girls?

All ratings and per the BRA Count.  You will see as we rate more places.

The first Restaurant we have selected to rate is, Touche' Restaurant Bar & Billards,  (503) 221-1150, 1425 Glisan ST.,  Portland, OR.  Located on the corner of 14th and Glisan St., it is a Northern Italian reataurant.  We went for a 7pm on Saturday, they told us when we called that no reservations were needed.  When we got there we were shown right to the table.  They get a full BRA on that point.  We were seated really close to the open kitchen, which gave us a great view and was a very nice location. Oh, that counts as another full BRA for placement.

They have a great menu with lots of choices.  We chose an appetizer, which was their stramed clam dish with a creamy sause.  Now Brenda tries to stay away from the bread, but this sauce required her to dip a few pieces of bread into it.  Couldn't stop that move.

The main course was great, large portions and very good.  The waiter was very, very attentive and T-friendly.  He was very nice to us and came by serveral times just to chat.  The prices were very good for an upscale restautant and Shirley and Brenda were out of there for under $50 for 2 and Shirley had two vodkas.  The Coke refills for Brenda made her very happy.  The place has a great ambiance, and is an older building and is nicely re-furnished.

We are giving the restraunt 5 BRAS.  It is a very nice restaurant and is on the top of our " must go to again" list.  Please give them a try, you won't be sorry.  Bon Appetite.

B&S Night Out
Brenda Lefebvre & Shirley Jackson

Well girls, just another night out and being a couple of girls. One thing I might add, if where we go is a bit too risqu for your taste and you still want to go. If you are not sure of your out wings yet, there are two places that I can suggest and I have always been happy and you can go theyre at ease. They are the two places that I went to when I came out. The first one is Hobos; there are two menus and two different places to sit. The bar menu is a very good menu with Shirleys favorite Fish and Chips, then the restaurant menu has Brendas favorite the Pork dish with cream over sweet potatoes.

Another place that is nice to go to is Martini Lounge at CC Slaughters. Menu changes lots and there is always a special. It is on the corner of Slaughters away from the music so you can chat all night.

Now for our pick of the month, we went to Bush Garden of Oregon. 900 SW Morrison St, Portland, Or (503) 226-7181. Right on the corner of 9th and Morrison with a corner entry. Good parking at 10th and Alder St. We did get reservations, the night we visited there werent many people and it was pretty open. Very well lit, open American style seating. Great menu for Japanese food. It is not all Sushi or raw things that might keep a lot of people away from here because they think Sushi is all they serve. There are lots of hot dishes and Brenda doesnt care for Sushi, but has lots of selections to pick from. One of Brendas favorite appetizers is Yellowtail collar. The one way I have found that I can get a nice piece of Yellowtail, it is the soft collar near the gill plate where the meat is really tender and broiled over a grill is great, you have to pick back some of the skin and eat through a bunch of bones. It is like eating chicken, but it doesnt taste like it.

Shirley for her main dish chose Tako Sashimi and Brenda had the Sukaki. Both were very reasonable portions and very good. Smiles around the table. The service was very top notch and prompt. Very attentive to our needs and T-friendly. We felt very comfortable there and treated with respect. Very reasonable prices for Japanese food especially for downtown Portland.

Also Brenda has been to the Location in Tualatin and it is smaller, but in the summer you can seat outside but the lake. The inside seating is smaller than Downtown, but when you add the outside it is much larger. Same rating as Downtown location, I did sit by the lake and it was great!!!

We gave this restaurant 5 Bras, very nice and this has been on the top of our must go to again restaurants. Please give them a try you wont be sorry, Bon Appetite
