Background: In another zone, Robotnik decided to roboticize himself in order to win the war against the freedom fighters. (It is at this point where the two versions of Robotnik no longer share the same history.) He renamed himself Robo-Robotnik and proceeded to invade every zone, first making sure to destroy that zone’s version of Sonic the Hedgehog. His efforts were halted when the Sonics teamed up to defeat him.
His body destroyed, Robo-Robotnik’s cyber consciousness returned to his home zone. Robotnik (the first version) stumbled upon this location. Robo-Robotnik used this opportunity to search the original Robotnik’s memory.
Eventually Robo-Robotnik was able to use advanced technology to create a shell that was a carbon-based version of the first Robotnik. Robo-Robotnik traveled to Robotnik’s zone only to find out that he had been destroyed. Robo-Robotnik renamed himself as Robotnik Mach Two and decided to conquer Mobius.
