Part I:
Sonic and Sally swing over a group of swatbots. They are heading
for Robotnik's anti-matter device, which could make things invisible.
Upon reaching the device, Sonic runs to it and leaves Sally behind.
The entrance becomes sealed and Sonic is trapped. Robotnik appears
on a monitor and explains to Sonic that he spread the rumor about the anti-matter
device, which did not work. Swatbots quickly approach Sonic and he
sets off a bomb made by Rotor. As he tries to leave, Sonic trips on
a cable.
Sally makes her way back to the freedom fighters, explaining that
she was late because she was caught in the explosion. She says that
there was no way that Sonic could have escaped, so he died trying save
everyone from the anti-matter device.
Part II:
A happy Sonic emerges from the smoke after the explosion. His
mood changes when a steel door falls through him. Sonic looks down
and realizes that he is invisible. He rushes to Knothole only to
find a memorial service in his honor. The service is cut short when
the hideous statue of Sonic is revealed. Rotor explains that it was
the best he could do since Tails (the best artist) refuses to believe that
Sonic is dead. Sonic tries to touch Sally, but his hand goes through
her. Realizing that he is a ghost, Sonic walks into the forest.
As he pouts, he kicks a rock. A frog frantically jumps into the water,
and Sonic understands that he can be heard. Sonic concludes that when
the anti-matter device exploded it made him invisible, not solid, and silent.
He tests his theory by jumping on a moose, which goes crazy. Sonic
rushes to Knothole only to find a note from Tails explaining that they
have gone to Robotropolis to avenge Sonic's death.

Part III:
Robotnik yells with joy that Sonic is dead until Snively brings up
the fact that the other freedom fighters are approaching Robotropolis.
Robotnik tells Snively to get the Buzzard 'Bot (a jet that looks like a
bird). Meanwhile, Sally gives the freedom fighters a pep talk.
Robotnik flies toward the freedom fighters in order to capture them.
Sonic begins to talk to Robotnik, who says he doesn't believe in ghosts.
After Sonic flies the jet in loops, Robotnik says he believes and asks what
Sonic wants from him. Sonic tells him to stop the war, exercise, and
get a hairpiece. Robotnik and Snively jump out of the plane as Sonic
re-appears.
The freedom fighters wonder what happened to Robotnik and Sonic runs
up to meet them. Sonic explains the situation and Sally wonders how
to take advantage of the fact that Robotnik believes that Sonic is a ghost.
Snively watches Sonic on monitor, but decides not to inform Robotnik of
the news.

(A Princess Sally Adventure)
Sally swims, making her way to an energy sub-station. After scaling a wall
and electrocuting a swatbot, she makes her way inside the plant. Sally finds
her way to the computer and uses Nicole to set the computer to self-destruct.
She runs out of the building, only to be confronted by a skunk. The plant
explodes, sending both Sally and the skunk to the ground. The skunk says
that Sally saved him the trouble of destroying the building. Sally introduces
herself, and the skunk informs her that he is Geoffrey
St. John and worked for her father's secret service. Geoffrey explains
that he is the leader of the Rebel Underground, which makes Sally suspicious.
