The Task
 

                 In groups of two you will:

  • Research the lives and beliefs of the two main candidates.
  • Create a graphic organizer that publishes your findings using Microsoft Word or Inspiration (if available).
  • Choose your candidate.
  • Analyze the different modes of information that helped you find information.         (T.V., Internet, Print)
  • Predict the outcome of a  student poll on the topic of the best method of informing the public.

The Process
During your WebQuest:
        1.  You will be assigned a partner.
        2.  Choose the type of information you will need to research.  Click here for requirements.           (THIS MUST BE THE SAME FOR BOTH CANDIDATES)
        3. Choose websites to visit on the Election Links page.
        4. Read information from at least two web sites for each candidate.
        5. Chart your findings on a graphic orgnizer in Word or Inspiration.
        6. ALWAYS include the URL, Title of Web Site, and author (if provided) for each piece of information you find.
    After you and your partner have completed the organizer, you will INDIVIDUALLY:
        Write a one to two page essay in which you state which candidate you would vote for, and why he would win your vote.
