About Me

Howdy! My name is Heather Stringer. I was born and raised in a small town in East Texas called Frankston. I am the oldest of 3, I have two younger siblings Shelby and Dillon. I grew up in a very tight knit family, so they are incredibly important to me. All my school years were spent at Frankston. That is where my base is, it's where my family, including the majority of my extended family, my friends, and where my history is.  I loved growing up in a small town. I love the atmosphere there, the values, and the people.

Frankston is also where my passion for agriculture began. I was a very active member of the FFA chapter at my high school. I showed livestock, competed in LDE's and CDE's, and played a role on the officer team. It was through my involvement with the agricultural science department at Frankston that I decided I wanted to teach agriculture one day as my own career.

Now I am a senior Agricultural Science major at Texas A&M University. I have been studying towards my degree here and hope to attain my teaching certification soon. After my student teaching is completed in the Fall of 2009 I will graduate from TAMU in December. I plan to go on to teach agriculture at the high school level. I am not yet sure where my future job will take me, but we'll find that out soon enough.
