"Centennial" is an American TV-serial in 12
parts, which tells a story of the economic and cultural development of
Colorado State from the middle of 1700's until the end of 1970's.
Timothy Dalton played a big part here, and
this one has allowed him to show, how his hero Oliver Seccomb changes with
the age. Lynn Redgrave was Timothy's partner. Later Mr. Dalton worked with
her succesfully: remember the two their marvellous common works
"Antony and Cleopatra" in 1983 and concert performance "The Star-Crossed
Lovers" in 1998!
The participation in this TV-serial was of
great importance for the further development of Timothy Dalton's career
beyond the seas: watching his performance during many of the episodes, an
American viewer, undoubtedly, could like and remember the acting of the
original British performer.
