How does the Internet Work?

The internet works by allowing your computer to communicate with other computers all around the world. Data is sent over the internet using a process called Packet Switching. Packet Switching is were the data is broken up into smaller chunks called Network Packets. This is done so that it is easier to send data over a large distance. By using Network Packets it allows us to send data across the world without needing a direct cable there. We can split up the file into littler pieces so they can be sent alongside other data going to other places.
