Asleep In the Deep Productions
Just what is "Asleep In the Deep Productions" you ask?  Well, we're not really sure, exactly.  In fact, it only half exists.  I guess it sort of started way back in October of 2000, when Jeremy "Jem" Jurin approached Greg "Sugar Lips" Keck (he wasn't thrilled about his nickname) and asked Greg to help him write a movie script.  Jeremy was a very naturally funny person, and for some reason, he thought Greg was too.  Or maybe Jeremy knew of Greg's extensive knowledge of comedy movies, tv shows, and stand-up specials.  Or maybe he just wanted a partner named "Sugar Lips."  Either way, Greg decided to accept the drugs.....er, um....that is to say.....offer.  Not knowing what to expect from this, Greg asked Jeremy to explain a bit more.  Jeremy had a tendency to never finish what he started.  Pirate radio stations, recording comedy albums, putting on his pants.....he would always start the ideas and never follow through with them (the pants thing caused for his banishment from the church, but that's another story)  So, in actuality, Greg didn't expect much to come of this hair-brained scheme.  However he was willing to go along with whatever his friend wanted to use him for.  Jeremy explained that he really wanted to write, direct and star in an independent movie.  Greg thought that was a little egotistical but if, by slim chance, this film actually made it big, he'd be right there, riding the old coat tails.  The film would be written in a genre that resembled the style that Buster Keaton once used.  Keaton was a physical comedian who made silent, short films in the 1920's, 30's and 40's.  He was a tremendous influence on Jem, and he really wanted to do a short movie in that style.  They worked out the contract agreements (Greg would not be paid any monetary values for his months of hard work and dedication, but his name would appear on the final film, and maybe if he was lucky, Jem would "let" Greg work with him on any future projects that develop.)  The two set out to work on writing a script.  Several ideas were kicked around in the beginning, but after they had a basic plot line, the rest flowed without much trouble.  The original script was set to star Jeremy, Greg, Scott Bohlman, Carl Zenobi, Kristin White, Mac Gosnell, Eric Keck and Steve Perrucci.  It took them six months to write 32 pages of a script that was only half-finished.  That is now known as the "movie that never was."  Thinking realistically, they revised, rewrote, and edited the shit out of that script.  Roles were cut and people were replaced, but, in June of 2001 (nine months after they originally started writing) the finished script was finally complete.  All that needed to be done now was story-board, cast the new roles, make a shooting schedule, set up shot locations, and buy a video camera.  You know, the easy stuff?  Well, the story boards are nearly complete, and the roles have been cast.  Also, being the dedicated dumbass that he is (however proving his loyalty to this movie thing to Greg) Jeremy went out and spent over $3,000.00 on a brand new, state of the art DV camera.  Of course, to buy the camera, Jeremy had to sign over his first-born son to New York Cameras, but it was worth it.  The pair now had all the means to actually film and make their long-awaited movie.  In the mean time though, Jeremy and Greg began experimenting with making spontaneous, 7-10 minute short movies.  I guess that's what this page is actually dedicated to, if anything.  Everytime these two comic genius's make a "short," this site will be the first to tell about it!!.............leave me alone, I was bored and wanted to do something OK???
