The Kyle Interview:
In late October of 2001, we managed to catch up with Kyle Strawser as he was leaving the back room marked "Adults Only" at a local Blockbuster.  We asked him to share his thoughts on  being the front man to the greatest band of all time.  Then we remembered he was never in Poodle Mouth.....so we settled for a Waitless interview instead:

I.  Mr. Strawser, what's that tape you have in your hand?

K.  It's......it's nothing.  It's a Disney movie, excuse me.

I.  No it's not, I can almost make out the title if you move your hand a little........."Nurses to the......."

K.  Rescue....Nurses to the Rescue......OK???  Can I please get by now, you're blocking the aisle.

I.  Please, can we have a few words with you for a story we're running?

K.  You're not a tabloid are you?

I.  No sir, not since the lawsuit.

K. You're not a very good journalist, are you?

I.  No sir.  Alright, well, first off, how did Waitless come to form?

K.  Well, interesting story.  The origin of this band actually dates back to my very first band "Sonic Enima."

I.  That wasn't interesting.

K.  I'm not done yet!  So Sonic Enima was more punk than anything, but it's where i began my musical career.  After that ended, I created "Concentric."  That was more along the lines of the Waitless format, but it still wasn't completely there yet.  People left, and new people joined and eventually, Waitless came to have the line up it has today.

I.  I see.  Where do you get your influences for the songs you write?

K.  Some of them come from personal experience.  Others are completely fictional.  It all depends on what I have to say at the time I'm writing a song.

I.  Will the new album ever be complete?

K.  Well, the only reason it isn't finished by now is the fact that we've decided to start over and re-record the songs.  We're just taking out time with this one, and making sure everything turns out perfectly.

I.  Yeah, sure.

K.  I get the impression you don't even really like my band.

I.  No no, just you.  Any closing statements for your fans?

K.  Um, sure.  Thanks to our loyal following of friends.  Thanks for coming out to our shows and listening and supporting us.   We really hope to have the new album out soon, and it's something that I'm really proud of.  I think people will enjoy it.

I.  Ok, I'll make sure all three of them read that.

K.  I hate you.
