Brazil, Rio and beyond

In late October we went to Brazil for 14 days to attend the wedding of two friends (Erik the Dane and Consuelo the Brazilian). Here is story about the journey, you'll find links to some of places we've visited on our trip, and suggestions of what to see and what not to see. I have always been intrigued by Latin America, especially the music. I think everyone knows the Gilberto/Getz song about the girl from Ipanema. I bought the record and got fascinated by the saxophone play by Stan Gets but my interest slowly shifted towards the Brazilian music.

When a colleague at work, a Brazilian girl that had lived in Denmark for five years was to move back to Brazil with her fiancee and newborn baby-girl, I was ready to go when I heard of the Wedding/Christening that was to take place in Rio. So off we went, a small Danish delegation, on a autumn-holiday to the New World.
