Julian Ware-Lane

I am a 47 year old father of six. I have been married to Petrina for twenty-four years.

I have been an IT consultant for eighteen years; prior to this I was a civil servant.

I am a schools' governor at Hamstel Junior and Thorpe Bay Schools.

I am a local football referee of twenty-two years standing, and have been involved in the administration of a number of sports over the years. I am currently the minutes secretary of the Southend Borough Combination, a local league with over 90 teams.

In my youth I played in a number of local bands, as both guitarist and singer.

I joined the Labour Party in 1996 and the Cooperative Party in 1997. Almost from day one I have been an activist. I have held posts at both branch and constituency level and am currently the secretary of Southend West constituency party.

In addition to the above my hobbies include genealogy, historic buildings, reading, and gardening.
