LINUS PAULING
The Champion of Vitamin C
Professor Linus Pauling was the only man in the world to have won two (2) unshared Novel Prizes. Dr. Pauling devoted himself to
the cause of world peace, to the struggle against diseases, and to the benefits of Vitamin C.
In his book “Vitamin C and the Common Cold” he recommended megadoses of Vitamin C to ward off colds and lessen their symptoms.
Millions of people now follow this advice.
Pauling’s views concerning the potential role of vitamin C in fighting cancer have been followed by many researchers. He led the
study of the role of vitamins in preserving health and fighting disease by adjusting the intake of vitamins in the human body.
According to Dr. Pauling, “People who take vitamins in optimum amounts can live 25 or 35 years longer than otherwise. More than
that, they will bei FREE of disease. This optimum nutrition cuts down the probability of developing cancer, or heart disease or diabetes, or infectious diseases.”
He published books for the general reader on a variety of subjects from one of his first, “No More War”, to one of his last, “How
to Live Longer and Feel Better”.
Dr. Pauling himself took megadoses of vitamin C and other vitamins. He led a very fruitful and healthy life until August 19, 1994,
when he wied at the ripe age of 93.
