Westernport Action Group has no
desire or need to distribute any private or personal information
gathered by the group, or submitted to the group by ways of membership
or communications. We view on-selling of mailing lists and private
information of individuals or organisations as an invasive and immoral
and will never take part in such activities.
However, we do feel it necessary to share public
information such as publicly available point of contact
names and addresses of members of parliament at their ministerial
departments for the benefit of better communications with those ministers
and their departments at local state and federal levels. The privacy of
these individuals are also important and we will only forward on the contact
details as is publicly available from government Internet sites and
telephone directories. Member
names and addresses are held in strict confidence and it is also up to
members to share their personal or private information between themselves,
or a request of inter-member communications of the group will be passed
across by the Westernport Action Group committee.
Personal and private information will not be broadcast or
posted on the Internet or in news letters of the Westernport Action Group
unless it is the wish or a member to do so at any particular time.
Westernport Action Group are also bound to not reveal any
memberships if requested by the news media or government department unless
permission is given by the member in question at such times. |
