Plastic Splitter from Switzerland "Torpedo shape". These are easy to use and very reliable. High quality as you would expect from Switzerland. The splitter has six cutting fins. Just push the point into the hollow end of the straw, push until the splints cover the handle ,then lightly grip the handle and pull the splitter along the rest of the stem. Wonderful even splints of straw in seconds. Works on dry and damp straw. To vary the width of splint: for a wide splint, split thick straw, for a narrow splint, split a thin straw - easy as that. Once you use these you will wonder how you ever managed without one. Children (and adults) love using these, so they are great in teaching.
