| Below are a few pics of my piranhas. I raised them from babies. They are real Red Belly Amazon piranhas. They are legal in most northern US states. Actually I bought one from the pet area of Walmart. I had them from 2001-2002. I needed a bigger tank, so I sold them to a pet store. I also got tired of buying them goldfish to eat all the time. I have a 75 gallon tank now, which is big enough if I wanted to get more piranhsa in the future, but for now I only have nice, easy to take care of fish in my new tank. |
| If you ever thought about owning piranhs, here are a few tips: Get them as babies, If they are already large, they will be vey scared and unstable the rest of their lives, because they were moved from tank to tank. Tey are very shy and don't like bright light or noise. Get at least a 55 gallon tank with strong filters. Along with goldfish, They will eat pellets, nuts, and other organic food. If you have the extra time and money they are very interesting fish to own. |
