A PIECE OF LITTLE WINNIE

An afternoon in spring, a man walked along a road in Feng Yuan, was holding the hand of her youngest daughter. Suddenly the girl stopped. Her father turned back his head and saw her standing in front of a shop, pointing to a violin. ‘Father! Look! Very beautiful!’ she gazed and said. The father asked, ‘do you want to learn?’ A smile appeared on the face of the little girl!

There were four children in the classroom at the violin teacher’s home. The male teacher played a song after a simple briefing. Those children annoyed but the little girl listened to it seriously, and felt sad for the music. After class, she pulled the sleeves of his father’s and said softly, ‘Teacher seems very unhappy!’ ‘It’s not children’s business!’ Her father commented.

Afterwards, from the chatting between mother and neighbor auntie, she knew teacher’s wife had just passed away not long before. He moved to Taipei for recovery.

That little girl was Winnie Hsin!
