All of my logo designs have either been for school projects or for fictional businesses in the comic I created, Crow.
Lines and Shapes
Depending on the specifications of the client, there may be a few or many lines and shapes used for the logo. I prefer as many details as possible, but when I come up with logos I draw inspiration from whatever the client is inspired by.
Colors
Much like Lines and Shapes, color is sometimes a singular choice, but more often than not its a plural one. If the client doesn't have a brand style guide to work with I like to look at what they are inspired by and pick colors that are either bold or playful, yet memorable and eye-catching!
Depths and Textures
Personally, I love to see depth in logo design, but sometimes it really isn't needed. Sometimes textures are useful to make the logo "pop."
