�����Improving weather during July allowed the 10th to step up its attacks on transportation targets. The oft-bombed bridge at Myitnge was attacked by B-25s on the 3rd and heavily damaged, the south span being knocked into the river. Shweli was bombed on the 4th by B-24s, though the raid resulted in little damage. On the 9th B-25s bombed the railroad bridge over the Mu River between Ywataung and Monywa leaving the bridge temporarily unusable. The harbor at Haipong was bombed by B-24s on the 11th, and the Irrawaddy River was mined on the 13th. On the 19th B-25s damaged the Shweli bridge on the Burma Road, and B-24s bombed Mandaly the next day. The Mu RIver Bridge between Ywataung and Monywa was heavily damaged by B-25s on the 29th. The 10th finished the month by mining the Rangoon River on the night of the Jul 31/Aug 1.

During July the folowing unit movements took place:

The 9th Photographic Squadron (Light), Tenth Air Force operating from Dinjan, India with F-4's and F-5's returned to its base at Pandaveswar, India.

The 2nd Troop Carrier Squadron, Assam Air Base Command, transferred with C-47's from Yangkai, China to Dinjan, India on the 1st.

The 71st Liaison Squadron was activated at Ondal, India, on the 15th. Assigned to the Tenth Air Force, the squadron was equipped with L-4's and L-5's and entered combat in October 1943.

The 71st Liaison Squadron, Tenth Air Force, transferred from Ondal, India to Ramgarh, India and began training with L-4's and L-5's on the 17th.

The 491st Bombardment Squadron (Medium), 341st Bombardment Group (Medium), based at Chakulia, India sent a detachment of ground personnel to Gaya, India on the 20th.
