Catherine wheel

The Catherine wheel is a pattern for 3 three counters and 4 four counters. Two of the four counters pass left handed. The four counters can stand in a large square with the three counters standing back to back in a triangle in the middle. A and E pass on the first beat, then the three counters walk around anti - clockwise. (The four counters could also walk around clockwise at the same time). The passing sequence is shown in the table below.

In an alternative arrangement the three counters stand in a large triangle and the four counters stand back to back in a square in the middle! This time the four counters walk around clockwise. (The three counters could also walk around anti-clockwise at the same time).
