1.DARK RECOLLECTIONS: For those not familiar with the band... give a brief band bio..

Mike DeseKrator : We are Rabid a Thrash Metal band from Central New York. I, Mike Am the Lead Guitar/Vocalist,
Chris Bowen is the Drummer
and Everett Thompson is the Bass player.

2. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: How long has current line up been together... is this the original line up?

Mike DeseKrator: Well In the Begining we went through alot of Vocalist changes. David Gruver The Frontman for the band JUNK was our Vocalist for our First demo we put out, but besides that the three of us have been are the original line up.

3. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Who came up with the name RABID and why was the name chosen?

Mike DeseKrator: Before we were Rabid we were called Braindead. After we found out there was already a braindead we got help from Billy Nocera Of Razorback records to think of a name. Rabid, the easiest name out there we couldnt think of! We liked it. It was short, and Too the point
4. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: What has RABID released so far? (demos, Eps, etc) and how have they done?

Mike DeseKrator: we have released alot of stuff so far on Fecalmatter Discoperated (or FMD records) 3 demos and 2 Split Cds with Bands Such as Funerot and Dissector

5. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Have any copies of your demos been sent to fans overseas?
Mike DeseKrator: The Rev of FMD gets alot of Orders overseas and our stuff gets over there as well. we have stuff In Spain, Japan and Even got an order In Iraq.

6. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Talk about your upcoming debut album...(name, who would release, expected release date)

Mike DeseKrator: The Upcoming Album is called "Metal Fast, Metal Loud!" Its 9 tracks of Thrashing Speed metal Mayhem!! The album is mostly about How bad new music sucks these days such as Mallcore and the New Hardcore Crap. Its Going to be Released off of Reaper Metal Records, its Crieg Horval From Crucified Mortals' label. It should Be out Sometime in late March






7. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Not many bands out there play like RABID... what inspired you to play this kind of music?
Mike DeseKrator: Like I said above about the new music... Where we are from there isnt ANY thrash metal bands around. All there is is the new Hardcore Fist flinging Crap. We just want to get more people in Central New York Back into the good old days. We dont want it to be forgotten and have this New Shit take over.

8.DARK RECOLLECTIONS: what is the song "Knee Deep in the Dead" about and what inspired its lyrics?
Mike DeseKrator: Play DOOM 95 for PC and you will find out.... Hahaha

9.DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Are you a fan of other types of extreme metal (death, black, grind) favorite bands?

Mike DeseKrator: Ohh man I love Carcass(old). I also Like Scum Era Napalm Death and alot of Bands from the Razorback Horror Hive

10.DARK RECOLLECTIONS: what is the scene like where you live... any bands you recommend checking out?

Mike DeseKrator: Like I said there isnt a Scene.... Unless you want to fight the air then check out Central New York! well Syracuse has an Awesome Old school Hardcore Scene! Check out the band Boris Karlof...

11. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: what is your opinion on bands like metallica that start being metal and as the years go by sell out ... and keep releasing one crappy sell out album after another?

Mike DeseKrator: I think is total Bullshit... Honestly In My Opinion if Cliff didnt die they wouldnt be as shitty as they are now..
