Scooby-Doo is a talking great dane, who, with his friends --handsome, blond leader Fred Jones; beautiful redhead Daphne Blake; skinny hippie/beatnik Shaggy Rodgers; and bespeckled, brainy Velma Dinkly-- solved mysteries involving ghosts, monsters, and other things. Since the fall of 1969, the cowardly, lovible dog and his friends have unmasked over 200 of these villians, in the course of seven series, several specials, and at least four animated movies. In June 2002, there will be a live-movie, and in the fall of 2002, a new series will begin.

That's a lot of Scooby Snacks!

A couple of tidbits:

I got the Scooby-Doo live-action movie for my birthday. I enjoyed it very much, except for the part where Scrappy was revealed to be the villian. There is NO way I'd believe that, no matter what the movie shows. Just as I don't believe the way Fred's character was written. Fred was NEVER egotistical. And he knew that NASA was the American Space Program, not the company that makes Pokemon (as he said in the novelization.) Fred is definatly much smarter than that! I loved the part where Fred finally kisses Daphne, though. 'Bout time! ^_~

Pro-Scrappy-Doo Section:
Most of the Scooby-Doo sites are anti-Scrappy-Doo. I've tried to find a Pro-Scrappy-Doo site, but I can't find one. Most of the sites claim that Scrappy ruined the seiries.

I don't believe that.

What I believe ruined the series --at least, it's what made me stop watching-- was the subtraction of Fred, Daphne, and Velma. I didn't mind the addtion of characters like Scrappy, Scooby-Dumb, Flim-Flam, and Vincent Van Ghoul. I loved those characters as much as I loved the orginal gang. But whoever decided to remove Fred, Daphne, and Velma made a very BIG mistake. To be fair, I watched a little of the others, but I never could get used to the others being gone. I prefered the entire group than bits and pieces. I did enjoy "The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo", mainly because of the new look of Daphne and the Mystery Machine (as well as the "Flying Mystery Machine", an airplane.), and the addtion of Flim-Flam and Vincent Van Ghoul (voiced by Vincent Price). But the orgainal Mystery, Inc. club will always be my favorite.

But I also LOVE Scrappy-Doo! And if this is the only Pro-Scrappy page, then so be it! At least Scrappy will have one page for him!

Scooby-Doo-related Quotes:
From NeoPets, about the theft and recovery of King Coltzan's stolen crown: AkaAmai says 'And to think, Malkus Vile would have got away with it if it wasnt for us pesky Neopets!' (After veiwing the unvailing ceremony of Coltzan's Shrine in the Lost Desert.)

Max Steel makes a reference to Scooby-Doo in the episode, "Sphinxes":
Max: Since when do ancient Egyptian death gods have jaws that clank when you hit them? It's all classic Scooby-Doo.
Rachel (puzzled): Scooby-what?
Max: ::small groan:: Your ignorence is frighening. When the bad guys are up to no good, they use local lore to scare away the curious. That's the Scooby Way.
Rachel: I'll study his teachings later.
Later that same episode, Max and Rachel end up in a metal room that contrasts greatly from the ancient stones of the pyramid.
Rachel: It seems that you were right about Scooby.

In Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, another name for the Slayerettes (Buffy's friends that help her fight vampires), is the "Scooby-Gang", or the "Scoobies". Rather fitting, now, since Daphne Blake in the live action movie is played by Sarah Michelle Gellar --Buffy! ^_^
