Intel have begun a program called the Intel Philanthropic Peer to Peer Program, which utilises the same technique of distributed computing that SETI@Home uses.

The United Devices Cancer Research program is a drug optimisation program focusing on improved drug treatments with a cure for Leukaemia as the final target. Future programs will centre on diseases such as cancer, diabetes and Parkinson's.
