Prelude
Sezlakla Tremere Chantry, Transylvania, 1196.
Kroah looked around, his eyes scaning the night horizon. Nothing strange, but the battle occuring in the valley just below the Chantry. In the middle were puny mortals, fighting a strange goliath-like monster as well as other puny mortals. The Masters' army was much greater, and two apprentices worked along, burning through blood sorcery the enemy ranks. Among them, through, some knight-like soldiers, fighting from their horses against the german knights for the right to cut down the enemy infantry. Again, the Tremere fire workers did wonders...
Kroah smiled. The hated Tzimisce had not even dared to send one of them, in their Zulo monster. Or, knowing the Gargoyles were searching for them, they feared to change form: Behind Kroah, four other Gargoyles only waited for one of those monsters to appear.
Something was wrong...
Then Kroah saw the gray, gargoyle-like, heavily armored humanoid thing that started punching through the Chantry's stone walls as if they were nothing but sand and earth. At the same moment, one of the Gargoyles pointed for the thing that flyed at a respectable altitude, diving for the Gargoyles.
Two Gargoyles dived for the thing attacking the wall, and the three remaining waited for the other to join the fight.
Never had Kroah seen such things. Neither would he forget, as fire engulfed him and send him plumeting to the stone ground of the condemned Chantry.
A dragon!
A fire breathing dragon!
