| Bat Masterson was a real lawman in the 1800's, I of course being a child of 4 when the series aired did not know that little bit of information. I thought that Gene Barry was "Bat Masterson". I also thought he was the most handsome and eloquent man in the west. Of course I believed at that time that what I was watching was happening right at that moment out in the west! I was only 4!
