For as long as I live I will be grateful to Mr. Red Skelton for bringing these two characters into my life.  He was the BEST.
I remember watching his show and thinking that I was special because Red Skelton thought enough of me to bring his talent to TV. Of course it wasn't just for me, but when your little you think the world revolves around you.

Red Skelton was born on July 18, 1913.
He left this world on September 17, 1997.
