Science Museum

In the northern part of Pewter City, there was a Science Museum. This museum displayed fossils that had been found on archeological expeditions of ancient pokémon. This museum closed in the year 2000 for remodeling.

In 1998, one of the scientists working at the museum asked Red to take a rare fossil to a lab in Cinnabar City where fossilized pokémon were resurrected.

On the second floor of the museum there was also an exposition on space which showed models of space ships and moonstones, among other things.

Mt. Moon

Mount MoonEast of Pewter City, Mt moon is located. This mountain is famous for the large amount of Clefairys in it. The long maze is the only path that connects Pewter City with Cerulean City.

In 1995, Team Rocket took control over most of the corners in the Mt. Moon cave. They were trying to get an ancient and valuable fossil that was hidden in it. Fortunately, Red defeated them and was able to get the fossil resurrected in the Cinnabar City fossil resurrector.

In the year 2000, the maze was practically blasted to pieces to make walking through the mountain easier. At the top, a dance square was built where visitors could see clefairys dance on Monday Night.
