Kanto's Power Plant produces all
the electricity for Kanto.
Zapados 'Challenge'
| In 1999, however, there were some problems. Zapados, the
legendary pokémon, basically took over the plant, and no one dared
go near it because Zapados was too strong for them. |

By the year 2000, the Power Plant was being run again by humans, and they even made the layout of the plant simpler for visitors.
However, in that same year a Team Rocket member stole a key component of the generator and left Kanto without electricity (as well as leaving the Magnet train out of order).
A trainer recovered the lost peice and elecrified the region again. |
