~ Trusting In God Through Faith ~
~ ~ By Simon A. WestOh Jesus, my Lord and Redeemer, Thou art my refuge and my strength. I dwell in a strong fortress. I laugh at famine, destruction, and the beasts of the earth. I lie down and am not afraid, for my sleep is sweet. I dwell in safety and I am not afraid of evil tidings. No malice can befall me and no plague will come near my resting place.
I walk through the fire; yet I am not burned, and the flame does not consume me. The raging waters rise up against me and I am not drowned, for Thou art my hope. Beasts of the field and heathens cannot prey upon me for I dwell in safety. They cannot make me afraid. All around me is darkness and tempestuous storms, but wherever my feet fall is light, for Thou hast saved me and Thou art the strength of my life. How can I be afraid?
I walk by faith and not my own wisdom, and because of that You dwell in my heart. For Thou art the finisher of my faith and the fulfiller of my dreams.© Copyright by Simon West ~ January, 2002
