News

April 6th, 2002 - According to rumors around the Flint area (Skin Casket's home town), the band has broken up......  This, to say the least, is untrue.  Skin Casket are not quitting.  It's going to take a hell of a lot more than this to set us back.  Skin Casket are auditioning new drummers.  Until then, Ross will continue to play the drums for Skin Casket.  Check us out on Tuesday with new Flint Death/Grind band Bloodletting at the Red Barron in Burton, also next Saturday, April 13th and see us with Bloodletting, Eyes of Dominance, 13PFP, and Exploding Zombies.

March 19th, 2002 - As of 8pm tonight, Ross announced that he is giving us his position in Skin Casket.  He wants to go to college and pursue a career.  He admitted that he never thought it would go this far, and he is not ready to take the next step.  We wish Ross the best of luck in everything he does.......
With this said, Skin Casket is now in need of a new drummer.  All we require is that you are over 18, and (of course) have drum talent.  Please realise that we are deeply influenced by extreme metal, even though we don't require you be an extreme metal fan, it would be very usefull if all trying out are familiar with the "blast beat".  Double bass
IS required.  Either a double bass kit or single with a double pedal.  If you meet all the requirements so far, and you are willing to pursue a career in music to the absolute fullest, please email me.

March 8th, 2002 - Last night we witnessed the Dying Fetus show at Metropolis in Flint.    A big thanks to all the bands Summer Dying, Infinity Machine, Eyes of Dominance, Exploding Zombies, and Dying Fetus for being supportive.  The show was extremely entertaining.  Later, we threw a hotel party with Dying Fetus.  It was really cool hanging out with one of my favorite bands just shootin the shit and drinkin some beers.  Maybe next time Fetus is in town we'll be there.
We're still sending out cds to radio stations and magazines all over the world.  So far we got cds going out to Canada, Bulgaria, Greece, Germany, Spain, Australia, as well as across the USA.  More to come later.

March 4th, 2002 - More bad news from Skin Casket.
We had a meeting yesterday to see how Ross's arm will hold up to playing our live set.  The result, we are dropping off the Dying Fetus show.  This is the second show we've ever cancelled in 2 years.  I hope eveyone understands and supports us through this rough period.  Thank you.

February 25, 2002 - Crash! Crash! Crash!  After last weekend we thought that our luck would be better.  Yes we did play 2 kick-ass shows over the weekend.  Yes, we were pumped up for our shows coming up.  Until last night when we found that Ross and his girlfriend and her neice were in a terrible car accident.  Luckily, everyone was ok and they walked away with minor injuries.  Due to this misfortune, we are going to have to cancel at the Wired Frog this weekend.  Don't worry, we still have every intention of playing the Dying Fetus show on March 7th.
I (Dean) have been chosen by the Heavycore Leader to be the Michigan Heavycore Commander.  It's an honor to hold this title and I'm going to do whatever I can to help the core.  For more information, click

February 18th, 2002 - Wow, was this ever a weekend to remember......  Friday's show at the Metropolis went really well.  The crowd was small, but they ALL got into the music.  Then off to Lansing on Saturday only to hit a 4-mile stretch of BLACK ICE on westbound I-69 near Lansing.  Mitch's car got fucked up.  We were part of a 30 car pile-up.  When I get some pictures in, I'll put them up.  Luckily, no one got hurt, and none of our equipment was severly damaged.
