A WEAK LINK?!

Chevy sent this letter to all 4wd owners in 1970.

Dear Chevrolet Owner:

Chevrolet has determined that you are an owner of a 1969 model K-10 or K-20 series Chevrolet 4-wheel drive truck which has front spring eye bolts which may break and eventually move out of position. This could permit the spring to be detached from the front spring hanger which could cause the truck to pull noticeable to the left or right on brake application.

The rest of the letter states that Chevrolet will fix this problem at no charge to you. I sincerely doubt that they will still fix such a problem so I posted this so the rest of us can be on the look out for such a problem if it so occures.

This recall notice (there were two) was in the BIG packet of stuff from the origional owner of my car. as were All the registration slips both owners manuals (truck and Blazer supplement) the sales broshure and even oil changes. Wowee Zowee!
