Just musing:

Those that preach the blessedness of the hereafter

Also look upon their own death as a disaster.

Imagine how boring it would be

To sing God's praises for eternity.

If we were meant to live forever after death

Why would God give us first an earthly breath?

God, we're told, works in mysterious ways

And that may be the reason why Man strays.

Everyone knows that "an apple a day keeps the doctor away"

But that didn't work with the Great Physician in Eve's day.

If the poor are blessed beyond compare

I shall get treble when I get there.
