 Who am I?

Oh, just a fellow that enjoys reading good poetry, the one that rhymes, you know? Not the one which I call "funny prose", with long and short sentences all intermingled. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking it. Some of the ones I have read express beautiful sentiments and are wonderfully written, but to me it is still prose.
Take Milton's Paradise Lost. Can it be really considered poetry in the classic sense? A good read, but again not poetry. The very word "Poem" conjures the thought of rhyme and cadence.
But that's my own opinion and I am not about to try and convert you.
Right ... about me, if you are interested.
My friends call me Vic and my enemies anything but.
I was born in Coimbra, Portugal, in the year of our Lord nineteen forty five, from mixed parentage - my father was English and my mother Portuguese - and I am just the end product of the coming together of two great civilizing empires.
I came to Africa at a tender age and lived in Mozambique until I was nineteen when I went to study in Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe ... and there I stayed.
I got married to a wonderful girl, Paula, who had also come to Africa at a young age from her native Holland.
Our daughter, Angelique was born in Salisbury, now Harare, in 1970 and she has always been a source of joy to us both.
I have a grand daughter, Ashleigh, who was born in Durban, South Africa, in 1996. Another bundle of joy. Lucky, eh?
As I said, I always enjoyed poetry and have been interested in religious matters for quite some time and my efforts here represent those interests.
As far as I'm aware the last chap that did something similar to this was E.U. Cook who wrote the book "The First Mortgage" way back in 1898 and which is better known as "The Rhyming Bible".   His work was, however, devotional whilst mine is .... Well, I shall leave it to you to find out.
The only things I expect of you, dear reader, is that you approach "The Pyrrhonist Bible" with an open mind and a sense of humour.
Should you wish to e-mail me, my address is [email protected]
but do me a favour - if you're out just to criticize see if you can do it constructively, and try to be polite about it.

Enjoy it.
