After Yoh heard of the story, Yoh told Faust that his Eliza is just a puppet. Faust was very angry at Yoh's word. He determined to kill Yoh. After the long fight, finally, Yoh used all of his over soul power, but he can only destroy some part of Faust's over soul. Yoh lose to Faust.

Before Faust tries to kill Yoh, Ren appears and helps Yoh from Faust because Yoh's next challenger will be Ren!

Because Yoh was afraid that Manta will be hurt because of him. Yoh told Manta to go to U.S. However, at the airport when Manta was about to leave, Manta changes his mind because he wanted to know more about Yoh's life.

Yoh decided to go back to his home and asked his grandfather how he can increase his over soul power. Yohmei, Yoh's grandfather, told Yoh that, in order to increase his over soul power, Yoh must stayed in the dark cave for a week.
