Stargate: Atlantis Stargate: Atlantis is a spin-off show of Stargate SG-1. Earth has discovered the whereabouts of Atlantis the fabled lost city abandoned by the Ancients. Doctor Elizabeth Weir is dispatched to visit the city, leading a joint expedition made up of civilian and military to the Pegasus Galaxy. Upon arrival, the travelers realise they are unable to return to Earth. For many of the team this is the first time experience of interstellar travel. Now they are trapped in the Pegasus Galaxy. The team consists of Scientists, diplomats and military personnel. The cast includes Dr. Elizabeth Weir (Torry Higginson), US Air Force pilot Major John Sheppard (Joe Flanigan), Doctor Carson Beckett (Paul McGillion), Doctor Rodney McKay (David Hewlett), Lt. Aidan Ford (Rainbow Sun Francks) and Teyla Emmagan (Rachel Lutrell).  John Sheppard is from the United States, Earth, his assignment is leader of military operations on the Atlantis Expedition. He Specializes as attack pilot. He is capable of flying Coba, Apache, Sea King, Black Hawk, Osprey and Sea Harrier attack helicoptors and also F/A22 airplanes. Elizabeth Weir is a Civilian doctor from United States, Earth she is the leader of Atlantis Expedition and specializes in Diplomatic negotiations. Rodney McKay is a civilian; Astrophysicist; a doctor of Science he is a an advisor for the Atlantis Expedition from Canada, Earth, he specializes in stargate travel and technologies. Aiden Ford is a US Air Force Lieutentant he specializes in weapons and at the age of 25 is the youngest member of the Atlantis team. Carson Beckett is a civilian medical doctor from Scotland, Earth he is an advisor and specializes in medical science. Teyla Emmagan is a civilian an alien of Ancient origin she is from Athosia; the Pegasus galazy. Teyla has attached herself to the Atlantis expedition as a civilian advisor and guide and specializes in the history of the Ancients and the Wraith; local knowledge of planets, people and technology. She has considerable physical strength and is trained to fight in close combat.
