Supernatural Supernatural is about two brothers Dean (Jensen Ackles) |
and Sam (Jared Padalecki)
Winchester who are looking for their missing father. When Dean was four and Sam a baby, their mother, Mary was killed in strange circumstances. Their father, John (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) had found Mary pinned to the ceiling dripping blood on Sam who was in a cradle beneath. Suddenly mary is aflame. Told by a psychic that a demon was responsible for Mary's death, John becames obsessed with finding the thing. Training his sons to recognise and defend themselves against paranormal entities, they soon became resourceful sleuths and competent fighters in order to assist their father in his quest to destroy dangerous creatures and find the demon that had killed their mum.
Unfortunately Sam has a falling out with his father and leaves to live a "normal" life. At Stanford University he lived with a girlfriend, Jessica, in an apartment near campus. Then one autumn night in Sam's senior year, Dean appeared with the news that their father had gone missing while on a "hunting trip." Sam reluctantly agreed to help Dean look for their father.
The brothers traced John to Jericho, California, where they found more clues about their father's location and helped solve a murder mystery. Then Sam wants to return to his life with Jessica. Unfortunately, shortly after arriving in his apartment he found her pinned to the bedroom ceiling and bleeding from the abdomen. As Sam watched helplessly, she burst into flames.
Dean rescued his brother from the burning apartment, and the revenge thirsty Sam decides to resume the search for the demon who killed his mother and his girlfriend. The Winchester boys then picked up the trail of clues leading to the whereabouts of their missing father. On their search they are also hunting and killing supernatural beings such as ghosts, hook men and pagan gods. It is in its first season and airing on Channel Ten, Monday nights at around 8pm.
