England don't deserve Euro 2008 spot: Russia coach Hiddink
Wed Nov 14, 12:19 PM ET

LONDON (AFP) - Russia boss Guus Hiddink insisted Wednesday that under-pressure Group E rivals England do not deserve to qualify for Euro 2008. Steve McClaren's side need Russia to lose in Israel on Saturday to have a realistic chance of advancing to next year's final in Austria and Switzerland.

But the Dutchman believes it is "impossible" that his players will not take all three points in Tel Aviv.

"If we analyse this group and the teams, then England do not deserve to qualify. Russia have been consistent," Hiddink said in an interview with the Daily Express.

Russia beat England 2-1 last month which has left McClaren's future the subject of intense speculation ahead of next Wednesday's crunch qualifier at home to group leaders Croatia.

Hiddink said: "I am calm and relaxed. We know that if we win then we will qualify for Euro 2008. It is as simple as that. It's in our own hands. I am not worried. I am fully focused.

"For me, this is the equivalent of a World Cup final. We have been through so much in this group as a country that it would be impossible for us to fail in Israel. If we analyse this group and the teams, then England do not deserve to qualify. Russia have been consistent."

He added: "You judge success as to who qualifies. If we finish above England then no-one can say we don't deserve it. It was not a freak or a one-off."

Recent 3-2 lost of England team against Croatia in European Cup 2008 qualifier inevitably makes me feel guilty. Especially since it was an important match, such a lost had caused England's failure to go to the next round.

The match took place on Wednesday 22 November 2007.

On 19 November 2007 I went to Hang Tuah service station at Fatmawati Street, South Jakarta, driving the Chevrolet Blazer of my brother in law. It was to fix some problems in the car, the left outside rear view mirror that could not fold, the transmission system, and also to change the lubricants. Because the cost for repairing the transmission was too high, only lubricant changing that took place, for the engine and transmission.

The next day I went to another service station, Sun Motor, at Panjang Street in West Jakarta. Previous day's examine on the transmission had concluded that the transmission system needed changes in the clutch. Since from a phone call it was informed that Sun Motor was giving a 25% discount, so I went there to repair the transmission system.

Just like the previous day's Hang Tuah, Sun Motor happened to be also a car show room, with some new Chevrolet Captivas displayed behind the glass windows, while the service station sprawled beneath. To get into the garage down there, I needed to drive the car through the upward slope on the drive way, which then flatten a few meters beside the parking lot, then moving down the garage. Because the rule there was for the visitors to wait upstairs in the waiting room, I waited upstairs at the back part of the showroom, reading a newspaper then watching TV.

At lunch time, I went down the road to have meal in a Warteg, then continued by riding a Mikrolet approximately 3 miles away to find an Internet shop. I finally found one on the left of the street, after the Tarsisius high school and a junction. I spent around an hour browsing the Internet there, among which finding your photos holding orange package during National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) event with National Chairperson and CEO of NSBE Darryl Dickerson. The event was NSBE Fall Regional & Professional Development Conference at the Microsoft campus in Redmond, Washington November 16, 2007. I was not saving it yet, because I planned to only spent an hour in the Internet shop, and went back to the service station again.

Up to this point you may wonder what have I done wrong.

After the result of the match appeared in the media, I just realized that my going down the road to have lunch and then went to the Internet shop finding your photos holding orange package could have been monitored by the angels who were responsible for managing any events in this world. Your holding the orange package was like inspiring them to hold on to what Guus Hiddink mentioned several days before the match, that England don't deserve Euro 2008 spot. Guus Hiddink is a Dutchman, his origin is from the Netherlands, a country which is known for the orange color, because Orange is the historic national color of the Netherlands, originating from the coat of arms of the Dutch founding father William of Orange-Nassau. And Croatia's manager name Slaven Bilic has the last name that like containing your name Bill.

So I herewith extend my profound apology to the England team.

Anyhow, if my activities in writing these letters really were being monitored by the angels to inspire them, then I think we should be better inspire positively for the good of this world.

As usual I feel like there were some strong messages for me from the England's lost in European Cup 2008 Qualifier.

The first goal from Croatia was made by Niko Kranjcar. His last name containing the syllable "car", like related with my activities on 19 and 20 November 2007 of visiting two different car service stations to repair the Chevrolet Blazer. His first name Niko is like reminding me with Paris Hilton's younger sister Nicky Hilton.

Croatian's second goal was by Ivica Olic, his last name was like the word "oli", an Indonesian word for "oil", like related with my changing the lubricant oil of the car's engine and transmission.

The winning goal was by Mladen Petric, whose initial was "MP". Like reminding me about the importance of the "MP" related with my consent to move out of this world.

I consider this message as important since England is representing the most advanced countries of this world, most advanced civilization of human species. If I failed with my consent, I could become a dangerous threat to human species' existence in this world by becoming the trigger of disasters. May God help me with my consent.
