Shades Of Grey stopped playing on a regular basis back in Dec. of
2000
Yes it's true, Shades Of Grey has called it quits. Our final
shows were in December 2000 on the South Side. Rob, Kristina,
Dan, Bill and Soter will continue to make music and play in different bands
in the future, so be sure to visit this website from time to time to see
what band members are up to. Or send an e-mail to Dan
to get occasional updates. Thanks for all your support!
What Will We Do?
Many people have asked us what individual band members will do after
Shades Of Grey dis-bands.
Rob Ruzich
runs a successful law office on 111th St., and has recently gotten married,
bought a house, and had a few kids.
Bill Fisher
recently got married! He also bought a house and some beer and is taking
it easy for a while. He also spends a lot of time watching football and
playing Sony PlayStation.
Kristina
Nilsson had vocal chord surgery, and is recovering nicely.
Apparently she won't be singing anytime soon! She has been
taking a break from the music scene for a while and focusing on her studies.
She also works with children.
Dan Kotheimer
is now in a few other bands - He recently joined The Nice GuyEddies. Meanwhile Dizzy
Stick looks like it may be packing it up. But fear not, The Commodes are recording a new CD. But sadly, Foam Rubber does not play anymore.
Dan also appeared in a few Munroe
Park Theatre Guild (MPTG) productions.
Soter Nomikos
will continue to lead The Commodes to the top of the low budget entertainment world and he will
continue to expand his collection of Three Stooges memorabilia.
Eddie Ryan has recently reunited with founding Shades singer to form Colleen and Eddie. In the past, he appeared at
the Flip Benefit on
September 23, 2001 at 115 Bourbon Street. He has been doing some recording
in his basement, and he and his wife had a kid in the Summer of 2002!
