It has been ten thousand years since Mankind has returned to the stars to reclaim that which was lost in the cataclysmic wars of the Age of Strife. The worlds of Man are now scattered across the galaxy, with vast gulfs of wilderness space separating one from another. Great ships of the Imperial Navy sail the void, their guns charged to rain death upon the enemies of the God-Emperor. These fleets among the stars serve as the physical embodiment of the Emperor's will, punishing all heretics and aliens who dare oppose the doctrines of Terra. Step into these dark times and place all your trust into mammoth machines of war and the tireless thudding of guns as you vie for supremacy amongst the stars!

Battlefleet Gothic is the game of spaceship combat set during the Gothic War in the 41st millennium: a grim time when the Imperium of Mankind battles for survival in a hostile galaxy. The game allows you to command fleets of warships in deadly conflict among the stars, though whether as Mankind's savior or its destroyer remains to be seen.

Battlefleet Gothic is the exciting game of spaceship battles in the dark future of the 41st Millennium. Huge fleets of enormous starships engage in ship to ship combat amongst the darkness of the galaxy in a struggle for the domination of the Gothic Sector!

You command either a valiant fleet of the Imperial starships in the name of the Emperor of Mankind or an insidious horde of Chaos heretics whose only purpose is to subjugate and destroy all they encounter to sate the dark desires of their foul gods. There are also other races involved in the conflict, like the mysterious Eldar and the crude and brutal Orks. Whatever force you choose to command, you are in control of a million tons of awesome, Warpdrive-powered fury cutting through the void of interstellar space!

Your force is represented by models from the Citadel Miniatures range that you paint and assemble yourself. There are plenty of ships included in the boxed game to get you started and our hardworking Miniature Designers have got an entire range of incredible Battleships, Cruisers, Frigates and Gunships available to be deployed for battle.

The Battlefleet Gothic Boxed Game contains everything you need to start waging deep space battles right away! Inside the Battlefleet Gothic box, not only will you find the detailed manual that is the Battlefleet Gothic Rulebook, but so much more as well. We have included two different forces of Citadel Miniatures, so you can begin fighting battles from the moment you open the box: The Imperial Navy - massively armed and armored Cruisers which defend the galaxy from any interstellar threat, and the Chaos Warfleet - evil beyond redemption, the ships of the Chaos Admirals are heavily armed and extremely fast making them a dire threat to any opponents foolish enough to stand in their way!
