| I was perusing Media Miner for Sora fanarts, and I realized that most people have forgotten what Sora's real personality is like and made him into an Ambercrombie-esque bad-boy sex figure. No no no, people, while the idea is somewhat appealing, that is NOT what Sora is like at all. I drew this picture in an attempt to reinstate his boyish, somewhat naive, but completely innocent personality. He's a teen-ager, but at the age of fourteen he hasn't been exposed to anything really horible and he believes that the world is this big and wonderful place when really it isn't. I think one of the saddest aspects of the game was how Sora lost his boyish innocence and was forced to grow up in the course of a few months at most in the face of all the horrible things that were happening. But what's remarkable is that even after all that, Sora still retained fragments of his old innocence, which I think was implied when he smiled at Kairi in the cave SPOILER yea, I knew he wasn't really there, but then again he was...hard to explain. Anyway, long story short, this picture is to portray Sora's innocence. |
