There are a ton of places in the Dragonball universe, here we'll try to brake it down for you.

Here is a pic showing the locations of the places in the afterlife:

These are the planets throughout the Dragonball universe, they are sorted by the galaxy which they are located in.

North Galaxy

Earth
This the Earth that we live on.... Below is a map of the Dragonball earth along with all the locations.

Section A1
1. Yunzabit Heights - See that craggy cold and desolate island? That's where I first came to this planet. Of course back then, my name was Piccolo. I was sent here in a Nameckian space ship by my people. I spent many years waiting here for another member of my race to come, but they never did. So I finally set out into the world and look where I am today!
2. Yahoi - This was Goku's last stop on his three-year training trip around the world before he swam to Papaya Island for the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament!
3. Cell's Landing - Oh boy, this is the spot where the terror known as Cell came back to our time from the future. He landed here and went into his pupa stage for four years underground to absorb nutrients from the soil. Yuck what a mess he left here!
4. Boo's House - This is where Fat Boo makes his humble abode. Actually, he turned a bunch of poor humans into clay and sculpted the house out of them. At first the house looked like a big bug, but when he became friendly, he made it look like a puppy.

Section A2
1. Goku and Vegeta's Battleground - This was where the final battle between Majin Vegeta and Goku took place. That sure was an incredible fight! Too bad Vegeta cheated after Goku called for a truce, and knocked him out from behind. Luckily, Vegeta redeemed himself, just a short while later...
2. Goku's Landing - When Goku traveled back to Earth from the planet Yardrat in the Ginyu space pod, this is where he landed. Luckily, Trunks had just shown up, so he told everyone where Goku was going to land.
3. Cell Game Arena - Although it wasn't much of an arena, (more like a crater), at the end of the Cell Game, this is where Cell set the stage for his climactic battle against humanity's greatest hope, Gohan of course!
4. Frieza's Landing - Frieza just wouldn't quit! This is where he landed on earth after being retrieved and repaired by his father, King Cold. He had hoped to kill the people of Earth before Goku arrived home, but unfortunately, a mysterious youth put a stop to Frieza and his father's evil schemes.
5. Ginger Town - This unfortunate town was the first to suffer from Cell's energy gathering extravaganza. Every member of this community was absorbed by Cell.
6. Center Capitol - Also known as the World Capitol, this is where the Earth's king resides. Unfortunately, this is where Piccolo Daimaou decided to make his presence known to the world. He came here and kidnapped the World President, then went on a mission to destroy parts of the world. But before he could get very far, Goku stopped him.

Section A3
1. Doctor Gero's Laboratory - This secret lab, tucked away in the mountains is as close as it gets to a garden of evil! Dr. Gero spent years here, creating horrible creations out of pure hatred for Goku.
2. Number 17 and Number 18's Battleground - Here's the stretch of highway where we first got to see what the horrible Androids that Trunks had warned us all about could do. We had plenty to be afraid of!
3. Northern Capitol - The busy bustling Northern City where just a few miles away, the evil Dr. Gero plotted his revenge in the mountains.
4. Clothing Store - Located in a village so small it doesn't even have a name, is a clothing store with a surprisingly good selection! Well, at least that's Number 18's opinion. If she didn't like the store she might've....well, let's not go there.
5. Where Piccolo met Raditz - Ah yes, it was here where my counterpart met Goku's brother Raditz. Being cocky, he tried to kill Raditz, but almost ended up getting himself done in! Luckily Raditz was distracted when he finally tracked Goku's power level on his Scouter, and left Piccolo alone.

Section A4
Jingle Village: It always warms my heart to hear about this frozen hamlet. It was here that Goku was taken in by a little girl, Snow, after he crash-landed here in a stolen Red Ribbon plane. The girl and her family cared for Goku until he recovered from being frozen. Later he left the friendly Android 8 here to protect the townspeople and live with them.
1. Muscle Tower - Just call this place the Tower of Terror! This was the Red Ribbon Army's northern stronghold. It was here that Goku faced the terrors known as Sergeant Metallic, Agent Murasaki, Gomu and the nefarious White Shogun. Each floor of the tower posed a new threat for little Goku.
2. Raditz's Landing - Here's where Goku's evil brother landed on Earth. He was supposed to bring Goku back to outer space with him to conquer planets, but he got more than he bargained for when he messed with Goku and Piccolo, not to mention little Gohan!
3. Silver Taisa's Camp - This is where Goku's first personal encounter with the Red Ribbon Army was. He met the weapons-crazy Silver Taisa here, and managed to defeat him with ease, while getting himself one of my Dragon Balls.
4. Eastern Capitol - Characterized by its many dome-like buildings, this is where Vegeta and Nappa landed on Earth at 11:43 AM one fateful morning. The poor city was completely destroyed by Nappa in an instant. I felt so sorry for these people, but luckily they were wished back to life in due time.

Section B1
1. Korin Tower and the Holy Land of Korin - Hey, that's right below us! Korin Tower is where the cat deity Korin lives, (don't tell him I told you this, but I'm higher up in the deity ranks than him). Below that is the Holy Land of Korin, that's where the Indian father and son Bora and Upa live. They protect the holy ground that they live on.
2. Boo's Battleground - This is where Boo took on Gotenks, (after they destroyed my palace), and Gohan. The really bad news was, Boo won!
3. The Town Where General Tao Bought Clothes - After getting his clothes wrecked by Goku's Kame Hame Ha, General Tao came here to buy another custom made set of clothing.
4. Red Ribbon Army Headquarters - This is where the tyrant Red Leader controlled all of his forces in the Red Ribbon Army. Guarded by countless military units and high-tech weapons, it wasn't a problem for Goku to destroy this place all by himself!
5. Giran's Village - A small and humble village of Pterodactyl people. Goku befriended their leader whom he met, and fought, at the 21st Tenkaichi Budoukai.

Section B2
1. Parsley Town - Although this town isn't of any importance now, this is where Trunks finally defeats Androids 17 and 18 when he returns to his future.
2. Western Capitol - A thriving city, home of Dr. Briefs, owner of the world-famous Capsule Corp. and father of not-so-world-famous Bulma! (She'd kill me if she heard that)
3. Vegeta's Battleground - The final battle against Vegeta when he first came to Earth occurred in this barren, rocky wasteland. It was Gohan who delivered the final crushing blow to the once evil Saiyan here.
4. Gohan's Training Ground - Gohan went through six months of survival training in the wilderness here. He faced many dangers, including dinosaurs, saber-tooth tigers, and even himself! But that's another story.

Section B3
1. Master Roshi VS Piccolo Daimaou - Piccolo Daimaou faced off against Master Roshi here, and would have been defeated, if only Master Roshi's attack hadn't missed. Roshi died as a result of the magical spell he induced. Chiaotzu was also killed by Daimaou here. It was a very sad day.
2. Pilaf's Castle - This was once the "mighty' Emperor Pilaf's Castle. Goku obliterated it as a monkey.
3. Yamcha's Desert - Yamcha ruled this desert with an iron fist, and demanded payment from anyone who passed through, otherwise he'd steal anything they had, and maybe their life!
4. Rabbit Gang's Village - A God-Father-like rabbit who could turn anyone into a carrot by touching them, ran this village. Goku and his friends managed to take care of this situation though, and sent them, bang zoom straight to the moon!

Section B4
1. Satan City - The city named after the world-famous Hercule after his amazing "victory" over Cell. Of course we know what really happened. This should be Gohan City!
2. Grandpa Gohan's House - This is where it all began. Little Goku was raised in this humble house by his adoptive grandfather Gohan.
3. Oolong's Village - A village terrorized by Oolong. He liked to steal women, and make them his brides, but they just ended up mooching off of him.
4. Goku's Home - Specifically located near his grandfather's house in Mount Paozu, this is where Goku decides to raise his family. Actually, Chichi does all of the hard stuff around the house. No wonder she's so grouchy!
5. Underwater Pirate Cave - Located deep underneath the ocean is a pirate cave filled to the brim with all sorts of deadly traps. Goku, Krillin and Bulma traveled through here to get a Dragon Ball, with the Red Ribbon hot on their heels!

Section C1
1. Babidi's Space Ship - Babidi's magic spaceship is hidden here deep underground. Even I can't see all of it!
2. Namu's Village - A small and destitute village. The strong-willed Namu brings back plenty of water for his thirsty people from his trip to the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament.
3. Baba's Arena - This is Baba's fighting arena, where a strong fighter can have their fortune told, if they beat all of Baba's warriors.
4. Goku VS Pilaf's Robot - Goku fights, and destroys, Pilaf's three-part battle robot here in order to retrieve a Dragon Ball.

Section C2
1. Town Where Goku Gets Clothes - After his clothes are burned by Pilaf's robot, he comes here to get a new set, exactly the same of course.
2. Southern Capitol - Although prosperous, in it's own right this town has no major connection with the major history of our world.
3. Android 19's Battleground - Number 19 meets his demise here at the hands....er hand of Vegeta's Big Bang Attack.
4. Island Where Androids Number 19 and 20 Appear - Located off the coast of the Southern Capitol, this is where the two Androids Trunks spoke of first appear. But are they the same ones?
5. Yajirobi's Battleground - Yajirobi meets Goku here for the first time, and kills one of Piccolo Daimaou's spawn, Cymbal.

Section C3
1. Fire Mountain - This is where the poor Ox King's castle is! He and his daughter Chichi were trapped at the bottom of this mountain when a fire spirit set it ablaze. 3. The Island Where Cell Becomes Perfect - Here's where all heck broke loose! Cell finally absorbed Android 18 here, and became Perfect Cell.

Section C4
1. Kame House - The location of the most famous hermit's house you'll ever see! The Z Soldiers use this as a headquarters in dire times.
2. Blue's Operations Camp - A base of operations for Blue Shogun. Information and data is received and transmitted to and from Headquarters here.
3. Android 17's Battleground - The chain of islands where Android 17 faces off against Piccolo. Quite an amazing fight if I do say so myself!
4. The Training Island - This is where Master Roshi takes Goku and Krillin for their arduous training for 8 months. 200 people live on this island, which has just about every kind of climate you can imagine!
5. Penguin Village - Not much is known about this mysterious village, although it is known that the great Akira Toriyama kept a record of this village's history. Even I don't know much about this place!
