Concept
Throughout the reenacting/campaigning community for the American Civil War there are many messes. Yes they may portray both Federal and Confederate as we do, but we also strive to accomplish another goal. Our main priority is to portray a group of German immigrants who have migrated from the area of Germany. During the time of the American Civil War a large majority of ethnic Germans filled the ranks on both sides. Whether they fled in 1848 because of the revolutions or they just wanted to migrate for a "better" chance. Many of these ethnic Germans were located in Pennsylvania and considered themselves Americans before German.

What we do to do this is based primarily on research and learning the German language. We strive to learn it as best we can as we take classes and try to speak within each other in the German language. On the other hand as well we do a large amount of research on why many came here and where they relocated themselves here. Also for what reasons did they join the military or why they opposed it. There are numerous topics to research on this ethnicity at the time period and we will try to keep and up to date research section below for viewers to view.
