Now this is one of my favorite movies and Ariel is in my top three favorite Disney Princesses! People have even said I look like her. are you?
It's the story of the Little Mermaid who dreamed of something more.Most mermaids Ariel's age spent their time thinking about that cute mer-boy down the pike, but not Ariel.
Ariel would often go ecploring old sunken ships, looking for human treasures. Tagging along is her companion, Flounder.
Ariel's father, King Triton, forbad any contact between the human world and the mer-world and often repremanded Ariel for going up to the surface or having human things.
Ariel's father loved her very much, but did not understand her interest in the human world. He thought all humans were bad. Ariel didn't see how a world that made such lovely things could be.
But in the end, it was King Triton who turned Ariel into a human because he saw just how much Ariel loved Prince Eric. (And I think that Eric killing Ursula bit helped him earn points, too. ^_^)
Sebastion is King Triton's right-hand...uh...crab. As well as the palace music conductor.
Sebastion was also assigned to "babysit" Ariel and keep her out of trouble. Then later, was assigned to look after Ariel's daughter Melody. Poor crab! But hey, at least he has plenty of experience dealing with teenagers. :-)
Ariel has the most beautiful singing voice. This is what Prince Eric first noticed and Ursula even used Ariel's voice to deceive him.
Ariel is often the star attraction at the palace concerts. "But if only she'd show up for rehearsals once in awhile..."
Ariel is the youngest of six sisters. Aquata, Andrina, Arista, Attina, Adella and Alana. (Their bios coming soon.)
