Joining SeeD at the ripe young age of 15, Quistis' excellent fighting abilities quickly earned her a position at the Garden as a teacher. Well respected throughout the academy, Quistis' devoted students huddle together as "Trepies." Though she has a bold and sharp exterior, her soul is wretched with frustration that makes her vulnerable to the sorrow deep within her heart.

Quistis is one hot mama in Final Fantasy VIII. She really goes well along with her apprentices. Contrary to her cool exterior, she occasionally has a difficult time coping with frustration, and as a result can become depressed over trivial matters. Though you never know but Quistis is the oldest in your party. For just a year old actually.

My own description of Quistis' combat expertise
Quistis is on the serious side when it comes to a fight. She uses Chain Whips to injure her enemies. Quistis' limit break relates to an ordinary Final Fantasy Blue Mage. The different thing about her blue magic is that she learns it from the items your party had acquired. And she can only cast it when her HP is low and turns yellow. Yup, quite different!
