For over a century, the city has been suffering attacks from mysterious beings called Gems. For over a century, the Gems have been fought off by a group of fighters commonly known as the Elite Force. For over a century, the city has been confident in these people's abilities. And for over a century, there have been those who wonder why.

          Sixteen-year-old genius Ladea Starforce is accepted into the prestigious Jukaya University of Medical and Astronomical Sciences. Shortly after � perhaps too quickly to comprehend at the moment � she finds herself involved in the secret Core Project, where she becomes a part of the Elite Force.

          The more she finds out, the deeper the mystery gets. Why are the Gems attacking in this city alone? Why is the daughter of the Dean so bent on bringing the Core Project down? What is the Jukaya line hiding, and what does Sector V have to do with it?

          The answers to the people's questions lie within the archives of over a century of history � and a year at JU.
