Autobiography by a former backup player for many Motown acts in the 60's. He has a chapter on his period with Motown and there are some interesting insights into some of the artists. Plaudits go to Gladys Knight & The Pips and Marvin Gaye while (no surprise) Diana Ross strikes a sourer note. There are also some nice pics of The Miracles, Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell in performance.
