He has beenn an important Sugar-Mill Landlord [Senhor de Engenho], of the Prince Town [Vila do Príncipe], MG, Brazil, having declared that, between 1780 and 1786, his sugar-mill had not produced any brandy [aguardente]. This same sugar-mill passed to be property of his wife, in the year of 1787, soon after his death.

military service: He was "Captain of Ordenança on foot of the District of the Parish of "Cap.m de Ordenança de Ribeira do Rio Verde Grande, of the Territory of Minas Novas do Arassuahy" [pé do Destr.º da Ribeira do Rio Verde grande do Tr.º de Minas Novas do Arasuahy"], rank whit which, by death, was substituted, on 15th/Sep/1788, by his son-in-law, Captain (Ordenança) Francisco Pinto Ferreira, married with Brízida Agostinha da Cunha Franco.
