About Aedes Mosquito
They are small, dark mosquito with white lyre shaped markings and banded legs.
Also known as Aedes Aegypti Mosquito, they can transmit the viruses that will cause Dengue Fever.
How Do They Breed?
They lay their eggs within or in close proximity to houses.
Their larvae feed on small aquatic organisms, algae and particles of plant and animal material in water-filled containers.
They lay eggs during the day in dark water-filled containers with wide openings and prefer to be located in the shade.
The eggs can turn into adult in as little as 7 - 8 days. The life span of an adult mosquito is around 2 weeks.
