Newsletter
- KAS 8/2002
Well I hope I am off the hook with the angler's who
have asked why I got a bit slack with some of the weekly e-mails. You got
about five in the week.
Test of the Best
First I mis-understood which teams were fishing on
the first day as four teams who qualified for the Test of the Best withdrew.
I thought Black Mambas Umgezi were fishing , but when getting to Kairba
saw that it was the reserves of the RSA Umgezi team. My apologies.
Am I proud of the Kariba Angling teams here are the positions :-
1st Place
Kariba Remmington Gold A - Peter Lawson, Quniton LeRoux, Warren Dewdney
Brian Lawson.
2nd Place ULTC Famous Grouse
3rd Place RSA Ugezi - not too sure
about this one as they had something disqualified on day two. ( This team
was made up of the two reserves the RSA guys didn't
make it.)
4th Place ULTC Captain Morgan
5th Place
Kariba Renegade
7th Place
Kariba Frontline
8th Place
Kariba Tiger Tech
9th Place Mvurwi Sunshine
Unfortunate the organizing committee did not put the
scores up on the board after prize giving so we were unable to get the
scores, the Secretariat don't have them either, as yet. Pauline said she
would let me know when she received them.
Overall Individual Aggregate
went to Quinton Le Roux of KAS Remmington Gold A
Biggest Fish went to Kevin Ross
of Kariba Renegades.
Well done to all the teams.
Rumors about the KITFT Position
After being up in Kariba this week-end a lot of angler's
have heard varying stories about KITFT and why I am no longer Chairman.
I was once again removed as Chairman of KITFT, even after being voted on
as Chairman by all the Clubs that attended the KITFT AGM which was a majority
of the Clubs fishing KITFT. I unfortunately at this stage cannot give you
the full story , but hopefully I will be able to by the end of the week.
Sorry to be vague but it's all I can say at present.
