If you've never been to this annual SoccerPlus event then you have surely missed out.
2002 saw 28 teams compete for 2 trophies - the social grade and the serious grade. A great new concept has been the introduction of under 15 players into the social grade. So good was it that it was one of these teams that was good enough to take out the trophy. Congratulations to `The Lads' who defeated `Hawaii 5 oh' in the final.
The serious division was keenly contested. Both sides who fought out the final had to sweat right through after having been defeated in the first pool games.
However, a very exciting final was won 3-0 by `WYNRS' over `Shark On'.
Congradulations to Leigh Kenyon (Player of the Tournament and a return of 12 goals) and `Gnarley Gnashers' for again winning the prize for best supporters.
